Vertex

The Vertex controller is field configurable allowing users to configure/select the specific control algorithm required for the specific compressor loop and application. This controller includes specifically designed algorithms and logic to start, stop, control, and protect industrial compressors driven by a
stationary speed motors, variable frequency drive motors, or turbines. OEM
qualified algorithms are used within the Vertex control for straight-through, iso- cooled, double flow, stand alone, and back-to-back compressor applications

Customized Compressor Control and Protection MicroNet Plus – Digital Control System Woodward’s MicroNet™ Plus customizable control system is a flexible, state-of-the-art system specifically designed for controlling gas and steam turbines. The MicroNet Plus control system provides a flexible platform to control any prime mover and its associated processes:

  • high-speed control functions
  • system sequencing
  • auxiliary system control
  • surge control
  • monitoring and alarming
  • station control

The digital MicroNet control is available in both simplex and dual redundant configurations. Each version is expandable into multiple chassis as required by the application size, and will support any mix of I/O, including networked distributed I/O.

Woodward’s MicroNet TMR® controller is a customizable digital control platform that reliably controls and protects steam, gas turbines, and compressor trains used in system-critical applications where the chance of a safety issue or large economic loss may be possible. The MicroNet TMR’s superior architecture and diagnostic coverage combine to create a system with 99.999% availability and reliability. The MicroNet TMR can be applied as a component of protection and safety systems to allow the overall system to meet IEC61508 SIL-3 compliance standards. IEC61508 calculations and application assistance are available upon request.
